2007 MILFORD INVITATIONAL

MAKING STRIDES

REWICK FLIES TO 3200M WIN AS GUYS TAKE SECOND AT MILFORD; POLANECZKY SHINES IN HURDLES

4/20/2007 - After Distance Captain Ryan Kiracofe was forced to withdraw from the 1600m and 3200m runs at Milford due to an inflamed heel, junior Kyle Rewick was left to carry the distance team that usually accounts for the vast majority of Turpin's points on the boys' side.  Rewick, who this fall became only the school's third individual male qualifier to the state xc championship, answered the call in a big way, winning the event in a personal best time of 9:50.3 (unofficial).  Rewick's win spurred the boys team to a second place finish on the day, losing only to Princeton.  Junior Danny Polanezcky also appears to be hitting his stride, as he took 2nd in the 110m hurdles and 3rd in the 300m hurdles.
