Jay Russell

Jay Russell was a team captain in 2005 and 2006.  Russell was Turpin's emotional leader in the fall of 2006, when the Spartans made their first trip to the cross country Regional Championship since 1999.  Russell's best time of 18:06 came at the Lakota Invitational in 2006; he was a mainstay on the varsity squad in 2005 and earned 6 varsity starts in 2006, including the Regional Championship meet.  Russell is currently a student at Centre College.
